About
Kostas Pilos is a Salzburg based Tonmeister and freelance audio engineer who blends classical music sensitivity with modern production techniques.
Trained at the Universität der Künste (UdK) Berlin, he specializes in recording, mixing, and immersive sound for live and studio productions across classical, jazz, opera, theater, and chamber music. For his Master Thesis he created an immersive Version of Ravel's "L'enfant et les sortilèges", staged for Dolby Atmos and based on a live performance of the piece.
He has collaborated with institutions such as the Komische Oper Berlin, Studio Berlin, and the Salzburger Festspiele — where he led the acoustics department at the Landestheater Salzburg. Currently he is working for the Landestheater Salzburg, doing sound for theater shows in all genres from Theater and Opera to Musicals.
